A NOTE FROM THE CREATOR, DYLAN MARRON:
Like most LGBT Americans, the idea of Michele Bachmann’s presidency terrifies me, however unlikely it may be. As more facts unfolded about her radical stance on gay rights and Marcus Bachmann’s “clinic” that may or may not have used reparative therapy methods, I found that there was a lot I wanted to say but didn’t know the right format in which to say it. After weighing the options – a passionate essay that explores the history of ex-gay therapy, a video-blog rant, a petition to revoke her citizenship - I decided to go with the medium that I know best: a modern dance/sketch comedy/political soapbox hybrid. What ended up was the Bachmann’s hypothetical contribution to the “It Gets Better” campaign. Hope you enjoy.
