Constance McMillen's school district has been ordered to pay $35,000 in damages to the teen, and adopt a policy which will prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation. This ends the lawsuit which was filed by the ACLU on behalf of Constance, after High School officials told her she and her girlfriend would be kicked out if they attended the High School Prom. Said McMillen, "I'm so glad this is all over."
We're just glad it ended with justice, Constance! Thank you for moving one school district a step closer...
