Going for the Gold

OURsceneTV has joined forces with self-professed Olympaholics, Tyler Duckworth and Charley Walters of OlympicsOrBust, to present Flames of Glory, our new original series covering the Winter Olympics Games for both the serious Olympics enthusiast, and for those who just love the drama of competition and admiring the world's best athletes.

With this series we are supporting the Challenged Athletes Foundation, a unique group that recognizes the athletic greatness inherent in people with physical challenges and supports their athletic endeavors with grants for training, competition and equipment needs.

Challenged Athletes Foundation

The Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) provides opportunities and support to people with physical disabilities so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics. With the belief that involvement in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life for the physically challenged, CAF provides grants for training, competition and equipment.

In parallel with the Olympics, the Paralympic Games host elite athletes with physical or visual disabilities who compete with the same passion and strength as their Olympic counterparts. Paralympians achieve near-Olympic results, but with far less fanfare and financial support.

To address that inequality, OlympicsOrBust has teamed up with CAF to raise awareness and the funds needed to provide a prosthetic to a Paralympics hopeful, giving them the opportunity to go for the gold like their Olympic peers.
