It’s Raining Lesbians, Showtime Style
Showtime stopped L.A. Pride goers in their dance-tracks today when a storm of women took over the main stage at the LA Pride Festival in West Hollywood. Shocking onlookers, women climbed stage scaffolding and unfurled banners promoting Showtime’s new series, THE REAL L WORD. Executive Producer Ilene Chaiken was on-scene alongside three of the show’s cast members - Whitney, Mikey and Rose who took the stage and introduced for the first time to Pride spectators. The Real L Word premieres June 20th at 10pm on Showtime.

Stars Speak Out and Fight Back
Celebs and luminaries alike came out to support positive images of the LGBT community at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City. Honored were Joy Behar with the Excellence in Media Award, and Cynthia Nixon, who received the Vito Russo Award and delivered a moving speech to the packed Marriott Marquis Ballroom. OURsceneTV's Matt Maggiacomo was on the red carpet with Joy, Cynthia, Sigourney Weaver, Mad Men's Bryan Batt and Real Housewives of NYC's Jill Zarin (who seemed less concerned with GLAAD than she was with Bethenny Frankel, hmm?).

The rock legend and cancer survivor rocks NYC to raise breast cancer awareness
Music legend Melissa Etheridge rocked hard at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City to kick off PINKTOBER, the month-long breast cancer awareness program. A breast cancer survivor and awareness advocate, Melissa belted out "Come to My Window" in this exclusive show for fans and PINKTOBER supporters. As anyone who has seen a Melissa Etheridge concert knows, no one left disappointed.
Melissa's signature powerhouse voice not only rocked the room, it's proof she's cancer-free and in the pink. Hear it, along with what inspired her to write, "I Need to Wake Up," and how being diagnosed with, and beating cancer changed her life for good.
A celeb-studded soiree under the stars celebrating GLAAD's good works
"Real Housewives" hottie Jill Zarin, World Outgames's Jack Mackenroth, Broadway hunk Nick Adams, and Lance Bass' ex, Pedro Andrade were just some of the stars at GLAAD's summer party. Let us tell you, the rooftop beach party was hotter than Manhattan in August - and that's nearly impossible, kittens! California's kitschy Venice Beach was the theme of the night and GLAAD pulled out all the stops with caricature artists, psychics, balloon animals and more. Venice you're so weird!
