One of the hottest girl nights in New York City is ending a decade of dancing and debauchery
The mother of all NYC lesbian parties is unexpectedly closing! And just after celebrating their 10th anniversary! Thanks to "The L Word," girls around the world learned what NYC girls have always known; Starlette Sunday was the party for lesbians and bisexual girls who demand the hottest dance tracks and even hotter lady candy.
The weekly girl event that New York Magazine named "best lesbian party" recently celebrated a full decade of dancing, drinking and delicious women the only way they know how: by partying like it's 1999. And now comes the sad news. This legendary ladies night will take its final bow later this month. Hey, at least it lasted three years longer than "The L Word."
Owner Wanda Acosta told OSTV all about the day Ilene Chaiken's producers called to say LA power lesbian, Bette Porter, was going to get her Starlette on. Immortalized as the bar where the cheating half of "TiBette" got a little out-of-town action, Starlette has been the biggest party in town. Catch it before it's gone. The last dance is November 29th.
